Shop Pen Ink Refills By Brand

The fastest way to find the right refill is to start from the pen you already own. The makers below cover most quality writing instruments in circulation; each uses a small number of refill formats across its range, so once you have identified the family, the choice narrows to ink type and point size.

Two shortcuts save most people a wasted order. First, a great many metal-bodied ballpoints from different makers take the same Parker-style G2 refill — if your ballpoint is not a slimline, there is a good chance it does. Second, most fountain pens that are not made by Lamy, Sheaffer, Cross, Parker or Pilot take standard international cartridges, in short or long. When in doubt, measure the old refill before ordering: length and diameter settle it in seconds.

If your pen is not listed, the answer is usually still one of the standard formats. Fountain pens that take a slim, translucent cartridge with a single ball in the neck are almost certainly standard international. Metal ballpoints with a refill roughly 98 mm long and 6 mm across the widest point are almost certainly Parker-style G2. Rollerballs are the awkward category and genuinely do vary, so measure before ordering. When two formats look close, the deciding measurement is nearly always the overall length rather than the diameter.
